Replacement of a gas-distributing chain on the series 612 engine

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Uncover heads of cylinders. Remove the vacuum pump. Remove assembly of the fan of system of cooling. By means of the special adaptation dismember links of a chain and remove it from the engine.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Get a new chain (2) on the regular place and by means of the special adaptation make a joint of links. Having executed necessary preparations (see. The section Removal and installation of components of a drive of GRM), establish a natyazhitel of a chain (14). Check correctness of base provision of camshafts (see. Section Verification of the base provision of a balancing shaft (only series 628 engines)). Establish the vacuum pump. Establish the coupling of coupling of the fan of system of cooling. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders. Start the engine and check it on existence of signs of development of leaks.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

The illustrative material on check of a condition of a chain of a drive of GRM of the engine of a series 628 is presented on an illustration which all references meeting in the text concern. The assessment of degree of a pulling of a chain is made by means of verification of the provision of a pulley (2) driving belts on the blocked inlet camshaft. Uncover the right head of cylinders. Remove a belt of a drive of auxiliary units. Having turned the engine in the normal direction (shooter), block an inlet shaft (1) by means of the adaptation (4). If shift of a pulley (2) makes more than 11 ° (after VMT), it is necessary to replace a chain. Having finished check/replacement, establish into place a belt of a drive of auxiliary units and a cover of a head of cylinders.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Open a cowl and fix it in vertical situation. Remove covers of heads of cylinders. Uncover the first bearing of a final camshaft of the right head of cylinders (see. Section Removal and installation of GRM components). Fix on the right head holders (010 and 011). Make a partition of links and remove an old chain (1) from the engine.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Get a new chain (2) on the regular place and make a joint of its links. Check correctness of base provision of camshafts (see. Section Installation of base provision of camshafts). Check correctness of base provision of a balancing shaft (see. Section Verification of the base provision of a balancing shaft (only series 628 engines)). Remove holders (010 and 011). Establish a cover of the first bearing of a final camshaft of the right head of cylinders. Establish covers of a head of cylinders. Close a cowl.
