Replacement of brake liquid

The brake liquid which was in the use repeatedly do not apply! Old brake liquid is much more dark the fresh. It allows to distinguish them easily.

It is not necessary to pour out brake liquid together with a household waste or somewhere in other place. Local authorities should inform on points of reception of brake liquid.

General information

The following belongs to number of the tools necessary for performance of described procedure:

  • Cap key for an otvorachivaniye of the union of removal of air;
  • Transparent plastic hose in internal diameter of 6 mm and capacity for collecting brake liquid;
  • Necessary amount of the brake liquid corresponding to the specification.

Brake liquid through a time of brake hoses and a ventilating opening of the GTTs tank absorbs moisture containing in the atmosphere. Thereof the temperature of boiling of liquid in use decreases. At big load of brakes it can lead even to steam formation that reduces efficiency of action of brakes.

Brake liquid owes each 2 years, it is desirable in the spring, to be replaced with the new. At frequent movement in the mountain district, it is necessary to replace liquid more often.

On HUNDRED air from brake system, as a rule, is removed on the special device. However it is possible to do it and without use of the specified device. Thus the brake system is pumped over by a brake pedal. For this purpose participation of the assistant is required.

If in the course of air removal from brake system liquid level sharply decreases, occurs подсос the air getting to the pump ABS. In this case removal of air is necessary for making on HUNDRED with use of the special device. At replacement of any brake hose it is also necessary to remove air from system on HUNDRED. While it is not made, to use the car it is impossible.

Pumping of brake mechanisms is made in the following order:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Support the back right
  2. Support the back left
  3. Support the forward right
  4. Support the forward left

Observe special precautionary measures at work with brake liquid (see. Head Brake and auxiliary systems).

Order of performance of procedure

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. By means of a suction remove from the GTTs tank brake liquid, having left at the bottom of the tank a liquid layer in thickness about 10 mm. Do not delete from the tank all liquid, differently air will get to brake system.
  2. Fill the compensatory tank with fresh brake liquid to a label "MOVE".
  3. Carefully, not to curtail, open the union of removal of air. It is recommended in 2 hours prior to the beginning of removal of air to process the union means for rust removal. If the union does not open, on air removal from brake system it is necessary to charge operation to a workshop.

  4. On the right back support of the disk wheel brake mechanism put on the union of removal of air a pure transparent hose and insert it into a suitable vessel.
  5. Ask the assistant to squeeze out repeatedly a brake pedal while antipressure to pressing of a pedal does not become notable. Press a pedal and open the union of removal of air. The union close after the brake pedal will rest against a body floor. Clean a foot from a pedal. Repeating this process, pump out about 400-500 ml of old brake liquid.
  6. Close the union of removal of air and fill in in the compensatory tank new brake liquid.
  7. In the same way pump out old brake liquid from other supports or wheel brake cylinders, observing the sequence specified above.

Merged brake liquid in any case should be pure and without air vials! From each brake support it is necessary to pump out about 400-500 cm of the 3rd old brake liquid.

  1. Old brake liquid hand over on special point on reception of the fulfilled combustive-lubricating materials.
  2. Press a brake pedal and check its free wheeling which should not exceed 1/3 courses of a pedal.
  3. Fill in brake liquid in the tank to earlier existing level.
  4. Screw on the tank a stopper.
  5. Make sure of durability of fixing of brake tubes and hoses in all provided clamps. Check reliability of a tightening of shtutserny connections and pumping gates. Check liquid level in the GTTs tank.
  6. On the working engine check tightness of system. For this purpose about 10 times press a brake pedal with effort of 200-300 N (there correspond 20-30 kg). The pedal of a brake should not leave back. Check on tightness all connections.
  7. In summary check action of brakes on the road with not heavy traffic of transport. For this purpose it is necessary to make not less than one strong braking, having checked ABS action (a sign of work of ABS the pulsation of a pedal of a brake is when braking).

Watch transport going following of your car. The effect of action of ABS is best of all shown on an unpaved road.
