Removal and installation of the back driveshaft

Details of installation of the two-section back driveshaft


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Самоконтрящиеся bolts and adjusting washers are subject to replacement without fail!

  1. Details of installation of the two-section back driveshaft are shown on an illustration which all references meeting in the text concern.
  2. Turn out самоконтрящиеся bolts (1b) fastenings of forward section (1) back driveshaft to a target flange of a transfer case, remove adjusting washers (1с).
  3. Turn out самоконтрящиеся bolts (2а) fastenings of back section (2) of the driveshaft to a leading flange of back differential.
  4. Turn out screws (7d) fastenings of the intermediate bearing of assembly of the driveshaft to a frame beam.
  5. Accurately omit shaft assembly, submit it back and take from under the car.
  6. Estimate degree of wear of the hinge of equal angular speeds (CV JOINT) on the forward end of a shaft, kardanny hinges and the intermediate bearing, in case of need replace a shaft assembled.
  7. In case of need remove the intermediate bearing (see. Section Removal and installation of the intermediate bearing of a back cranked shaft).
  8. Installation is made upside-down, - carefully smooth out interface surfaces, try not to allow deformations of bearing assembly.
